If there is even that many test kits in NC they sure aren't here in Eastern NC. Not a one as of yesterday.
Was told we would be told to quarantine at home and call the Health Dept. Who has very few staff.
Being an immune suppressed senior already fighting what I think is an undiagnosed tick borne illness, one of the others
besides Lymes, the very last thing I need is some cystic lung infection. They have a test already after you get swabbed for regular flu, don't they have that out
by now for this virus? Glad I live on a farm far away from folks. With a big pantry kept full for just this kind of thing.

These viruses remind me of hurricanes. They come every year, and it's only a question of how bad they are.
Not only does Covid seem highly infectious but it's a little bit more deadly than usual. But the way it's affected our world economy has been
a real eye opener. This is a national health concern, the Feds so far have not impressed. Not when my local docs just shake their heads and
say sorry, we have no test kits. Instead of treating you we have to send you home.

Thankfully the current active cases are further West, in the research triangle, not over here closer to the coast.
I had to chuckle today foodshopping early this morning to beat the rush, and on a dark rainy Sunday morning there were few folks shopping.
Which for me was good, could stay far away from folks. Many items were out of course, but I did fine, bought their last gallon of milk though.
All they had was the most expensive organic brand by then, but it was there. But one aisle was noticeably empty, there was not one can of Spam
left in the entire place. The ultimate survival food I guess.

From another forum so I cannot substantiate it but I read that the Governor of the State of Ohio, Mike Dewine, ordered ALL resturants closed at 9PM tonight and not to reopen until further notice... Things are getting crazy.

If people just used a tiny bit of common sense and self restraint, half this crap would not be necessary... Probably too much to ask though...
