The last time I felt we were in this together was 9/11... even crime just about disappeared around here and I never had seen so many American Flags in my life... by the way I am starting to see a few here and there again.
My worst fear is pre 2020 will be looked at as the good old days when anyone could buy a ticket and fly to a far off destination or cruise around the world in luxury... when social gatherings were the norm and stadiums with tens of thousands would gather.
My best is this is something that brings us closer together and working together for the common good we become better...
Just seeing what can be done when everyone is pulling together is a breath of fresh air...
I do believe the importance of taking care of yourself, your family and neighbors cannot be understated... not needing help frees up resources for those that do.
I have been in checking by phone or by a wave on my senior and very senior 100+ year old neighbors... they are glad for the conversation and all have said they have what they need... the 100 year old asked if she could give me toilet paper!
They live in their single family homes and say how good they have it... friends calling in to see how they are and being able to live in the homes they love...
It is inspirational... especially hearing it from Vivian who survived the Spanish Flu in 1918...
So you feel this has the ability to never go away and essentially create a new isolationist need to sustain life?
