Should we give aid to foreign companies?

Personally, I love cruising and would hate to see any of the cruise lines go out of business but.....I see that the cruise lines are asking America for billions of dollars in aid to help them with their losses due to Corona virus.

These ships are registered in the Bahamas, Panama, Liberia and Holland, among other places, to avoid having to follow American rules and pay American taxes. Then they turn to America to ask for aid. Shouldn't the country they are registered in be the ones offering aid? Maybe America should demand that they start building ships in America and registering them here if they expect to get aid in the future?

IMO, if they're not an American registered company, then they don't qualify for American aid.

how dare you think that in order to get a benefit from this nation you should be a part of it.
By the way I do agree with you, and I go a bit further a company that says it's an American company should have the majority of it's products built here.

And we should immediately cancel all Foreign Aid money to every nation even our allies.

Where the entity is headquartered or registered is less important to me than the number of domestic jobs and the contribution made to our GDP.

Never been on a Cruise and have no desire to ever go. We need to take care of our own problem's before we take on other countries issues.
