Not too worried about this myself, I treat it like I do during normal flu season... and I have managed to be flu free for over 10 years. Being retired on 30 acres helps keep me free of germs I guess. I’m glad I don’t live in the city.

Yep... We left a golf course house on a half acre in the Charlotte area 8 years ago for a house in the middle of 95 acres in rural VA to get away from all that. Unfortunately, after this many more may follow.

I have a friend in Spokane Washington who has had 5 friends get it. Only one required a hospital stay and he is fully recovered. All in their 50’s. He himself hasn’t tested positive. There is a bright side to the story....
My wife knows over 40 people that have it here. The nursing facility she used to work at got hit hard. Wife's last day was on a friday. One of the residents had some family come in from florida over the weekend and infected the patient. Before it was discovered, the virus went through the facility like a tornado through a trailer park

You should repost that over in the main Coronavirus thread. Your post isn't political, it won't be out of place. It might open the eyes of some posters who are in areas that aren't hit yet, who don't understand that this is growing into a widespread problem.

Shame on the people from Florida. At a nursing home to boot.

Honestly, the biggest issue was probably management at the facility. Lock down protocols were instituted late, not checking people when they came into the facility, people not taking the issue seriously, infection/ contamination protocols not being followed, ect........

The places and areas not taking it seriously got hit the worst.
