I was thinking something like this is what would the best for new road work, I'll put it on my Christmas list..............

Aha... good idea. I might have to make a couple... I definitely see the benefit! Will watch the vids.

Mine are held in by 3/8 quick pin, they can be easily removed. Every time I see someone lift a log with FEL with no cab, no log stoppers I cringe, if something round rolls back it will ruin your day big time.

That would work. Looks like you're dried up nicely over there. At least in that spot. Still waiting to get the snow all gone here. In the mud big time.

Just so we’re on on the same page I hate ladders and that definitely wasn’t me in that picture. And I’ve never used a ladder and a chainsaw at the same time.

I managed to get my tractor stuck in the holler again yesterday... was building fence, crossing a small creek, wanted to get a fallen cherry tree out of the creek to clear the path for the fence... front wheels got too far over the edge of the bank, and the more I tried to back out, the further in/down it went... a hour later, with the help of my wife and 2 sons, two ATV's, chains and come-a-long, it came out. Forks on the loader were nearly useless to self extract, tips just pushed into the soft damp dirt. Had the bucket been on, I likely would have bucket curled my way out. Not this time...
