The administration should put pressure on the banks to suspend all credit payments on those out of work for at least 30 to 90 days.

I tend to disagree. In life things happen. People get injured, lose jobs, etc. I don’t think it is the government’s job to bail people out in bad times. People should have savings for that. There is a saying that when the tide goes out you can tell who was skinny dipping. Many people live beyond on their means with no savings whatsoever. I am not talking about people in poverty I am talking about people with six figure jobs, new cars, boats, Mc mansions, latest gadgets, eating at restaurants every night, etc and every bit of it is financed. I find it hard to feel sorry for them for not having an emergency fund.

I never envisioned this pandemic happening but I have always saved because I knew something would someday happen. Financially it isn’t great but unless this drags on for years I will be ok.

Sadly, you are right...but it is not PC to talk to like that. These "hand outs" will need to be paid one way or the other. I fear the economy will implode and even cash will be gutted. Look for devaluation and/or inflation to solve the debt problem. Look at history to see what happens when a country prints money without the productivity to back it up.

Perhaps it's good we have only seen several crazy acting outs in this pandemic. First the lady coughing all over the food in the supermarket such that 35 grand of food was thrown out, and now a totally insane railroad engineer. Folks who are on the borderline of coping already seem to be pushed over the emotional limit.
I worry about all the depressives.
We've got at least another month of this, maybe two and likely to get worse before it gets better.
If you know anyone who suffers from depression, good time to cheer them up...really.

The jerky lady who coughed on groceries deserves to be locked up. The railroad engineer deserves to have a song written about his batsheet crazy world view! Maybe 3: country western, folk and a rock anthem. I’m very thankful he chose to loose his marbles in an empty parking lot rather than causing a major train crash while chasing his demons!

Start with the country song. Then when they played it backward it would put the train back on the track.

I heard a good news story on the radio. Ventech and GM are partnering on project V to produce 10s of thousands of medical ventilators. This is what America can do with a team of people who know what they are doing.

Not saying the government should step in. This crisis is a fiscal reset across the economy. It will change the working model as we once knew it.

The banks are getting their funds from the government. They should suspend collections until the economic conditions improve for those out of work. Especially so if they take monies from the FED.

The administration shut down the country. Not the banks. The administration needs to tell the banks to get creative in their collections.

This is not about what people have...it is all about what people can do. Right now quite a lot of people cannot work.

You must be careful.

Start working on your issues NOW! While you have time.

losing weight is easy, on a respirator.

I have lost 10 lbs...Still need to lose 20 more. Saw the same report on Fox.

Love food and booze...love life more.

BTW, the big difference is not eating out....besides losing weight, my credit card bill is down $600.
When I was young I tried a Corona diet - 1 case a day.
