2wd vs 4wd

Any models you’d think would be a good fit? Go ahead and spend my money. It’s ok. :)

I just don’t have much to spend!

None in particular, but the older Deere and Case-IH tractors were reliable, simple, heavy duty and easy to work on.
How about a Case-IH Maxxum? Deere 4xxx? White makes great older tractors.
Judging by your seeder, I think you need more size & weight.

My MIL has a 69 Oliver 1650 with a FEL. gas. Can’t find its lift capacity either. This would be nice as it’s free to use for me.

Look at open station 2wd JD 6XXX series. Everyone wants a cab when moving to this size, so open station are good buys.

When I was looking for an open station MFWD JD 5XXX series, I ended up with a MFWD JD 6415, for less $$$$ than the 5XXX series I was finding.

I got radial tires, Power Quad trans, Power Reverser, MSL loader, 2 rear SCVs and mid valve for the loader. 2500 hours.

If you like Cummins power, look at Maxxums. Cummins 5.9 power. Very good tractors and hold their value. If you really want to go crazy in size, look at Magnums Cummins 8.3L power. Insanely powerful.
Both models are highly sought after, plentiful and easy to work on.

That Oliver 1650 is about 60 hp and almost 8000# hook it to your drill and see how it handles it.
I don't recall their lift capacity but it was quite good.
Depending on your terrain one thing on Olivers with the hydro power it was an under drive only unit,
and it free wheels going down hill if in the under drive mode.
They are a nice tractor a bit clunky on the shifting.

Also being gas it will be a bit thirsty when worked hard, and it will behave better on mid grade or better.
