Tractors and wood! Show your pics

I have very few pines here, 1 giant one that is over 3' dbh, then the rest are scattered and nowhere close in size. The bulk of what I have is red oak, great for firewood but not so good for construction lumber. But I do have cedars, so I can at least Mill some siding, oh did I mention I really want to get a sawmill?

I sell any good red oaks but the vast majority of them here are ant infested which makes them only good for firewood.

Pretty much all the hardwoods I cut go towards my firewood supply. I don't have a lot of hardwoods! I do have some bunks of hickory and oak I lumbered which is mainly for a new set of kitchen cabinets for my house.

I had the same problem loading pics last night, along with a few other issues. There's an ongoing discussion down in Rural Living about problems people are seeing.
I just tried loading a picture again and apparently it worked..

Since we're still a few weeks away from warm weather here, I thought I would refill my woodshed. I took down a couple of mid size oaks that were shading my new fruit trees and that should just about refill the shed. It holds 5 or 6 cords and I burn about 3 cords a year, so I generally have firewood close to 2 years old. No serious wood cutting like most of you but it entertains me.

That was taken looking down my road yesterday afternoon. I only posted it here to see if I could load a picture today.

I managed to get a couple loads of firewood/saw logs today and it took a while to get them cut out and loaded,

But I did,

and they were a couple decent sized loads,

SO, I got the them hooked up and headed home,

But, I didn't get them all the way home, I had to get them across a longer muddy section, and there's NO WAY this tractor was going to pull doubles through there, even a single would have left DEEP ruts (if I made it) so I dropped both loads and came home.

At least I got them out of the hay field I was loading in, so I'll go back with a "bigger hammer" and get them later, so this one is "to be continued". lol
