How standard are steering wheels? 40 spline 5/8" 11/16"?

I got a friends Allmand TBL (Teramite clone) patched back together after getting the steering valve rebuilt. We had to cut off the old steering wheel it was so corroded to the shaft. Allmand parts was no help on the valve or steering wheel. Eaton stopped making the valve a decade ago. It's a 13" wheel that fits on a a 40 spline shaft that I measured at 5/8", maybe 21/32" or so across the splines. Shaft is a bit beatup & I'm not clear where the nominal measurement is or how standard that shaft is. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VVUN5KU/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=A38FO4W2KYU6X4&psc=1 looks like it might possibly fit, but I'm not sure. We could care less if it matches the old one as long as it somewhat fits.

While incredibly effective, my current solution isn't really a long-term one.

There are a few different steering column adaptors for the orbital steering valves but they are pretty standardized so I imagine finding one shouldn't be too bad.

Surpluscenter use to have a decent selection but I couldn't find it on their website, if I remember I'll look in the paper catalog when I get home.

Metric sized, but 40 spline & roughly the same as my measurments. Cheap enough to try I suppose.

I'm willing to bet it'll fit, looks like it came off something with hydrostatic steering.

Looked at my paper catalogue, guess they sold all the steering column parts for orbital valves, only thing left is one option for a steering valve and that steering wheel.
