A hand pump one works better you can keep pressure on the fitting and with a propane torch warm the fitting/pin to get the grease flowing

I had a stuck pin that wouldn't take grease from any of my hand pumpers or my air powered one. A buddy of my brought over his electric and it powered through without a problem. I was absolutely skeptical didn't even really want to waste my time trying, but he insisted and drove all the way over to my place. I ordered one the following day.

What brand grease gun?

I may just have to order one of the DeWalt guns. I spent a couple hours yesterday greasing my frame-mounted backhoe (on a CUT) and what a pain in the butt! I had three pins that wouldn't take grease through the fittings, so had to remove the retaining bolts, knock the pins half way out, grease the exposed areas by hand, knock them the other way, repeat. But after doing that two of the three took grease through the fittings.
I find that the fittings at the bucket tend to get packed with dirt when I'm digging. I usually have to remove the fitting, clean it and the immediate area below the fitting, and maybe replace the fitting, too.
Will the DeWalt gun push past a dirt clog?

He had brought the Lincoln model. After a full evening of research(online reviews and youtube reviews) I went with the DEWALT DCGG571M1 20V MAX Li-Ion Grease Gun. Found it from a seller on ebay. One handed operation, a very good coupler, variable speed trigger, and supposed good battery life(I haven't used it long enough to confirm). All I know is crushed through tight sticky pins.

I don't know honestly. I certainly get clogged/caked up dirt at the zert. But I always carry a old flat bladed screw driver and rag to clean first. Nice thing is I don't need three hands like I used to with my pump models. Be careful, however, with the trigger because it moves some volume if you hammer down and are watching.

I clean around the fittings, too, before greasing. But it seems that dirt pushes its way inside the fittings, just as the grease does.

I ordered a grease buster and I think I'll order the DeWalt gun as well. The worst that can happen is that it'll join the others on the grease-gun shelf.

You're right. I am old school and tend to stick with what has always worked. I have some old quality grease guns that are bullet proof and the thought of buying a battery powered grease gun for $150.00+ bucks was ridiculous and for the lazy. Couldn't for the life of me squeeze enough force on my grease gun to pass those stuck pins. When he brought his by, you could immediately here the grease cracking and popping. Then I started reading and learning. I didn't realize the hand pump guns don't have near the pressure these new electric ones do. As long as the battery holds out it should be a good purchase. I think DeWalt offers a three year warranty.
