That is a nice log. I wish we had some like that on the East Coast
They are a blessing and a curse. I am fortunate to have acreage in the coastal rainforest. The power company has neglected the maintenance of vegetation along primary distribution power lines (12KV), and now is paying the price. These trees around the power lines are 130-ft tall, but were much shorter decades ago. There have been weeks of activity in the past month with crews from 3-10 in size climbing, cutting, chipping, and hauling logs. It seems to me that it could have cost less to underground the wires, but the slope is at least 90%. Replacing poles will require a helicopter.
