That is a nice log. I wish we had some like that on the East Coast

They are a blessing and a curse. I am fortunate to have acreage in the coastal rainforest. The power company has neglected the maintenance of vegetation along primary distribution power lines (12KV), and now is paying the price. These trees around the power lines are 130-ft tall, but were much shorter decades ago. There have been weeks of activity in the past month with crews from 3-10 in size climbing, cutting, chipping, and hauling logs. It seems to me that it could have cost less to underground the wires, but the slope is at least 90%. Replacing poles will require a helicopter.

And I would like to see about the third cut on that log with a chainsaw mill.

Thats got to be one he77 of a lot more saw then I have & an all day job.

I wouldn't of got that in a million years now the next trick is to remember it, might need help with that I forgot where I put my memory pills.

If I was a chainsaw miller man I'd start with the biggest chainsaw I could lift or bigger then go up from there.

I don't know, As Far As I Know something changed here.. I go to post a pic like I always have, it sits there loading for a bit and then just disappears. Pool water here in SC is doing fine, almost ready to jump into. Great place to self quarantine!

Yes that would diffidently help, that's one thing that is not seen, a dozer with back-hoe, unless thats called an excavator.

This looks like a fun rig, maybe not good for bushy hardwood but good on softwood
