I keep an assortment of different types and colors of plastic rods on hand because I never know what type of plastic I'm working on. I've successfully welded kayaks and atv fenders.

I know you can buy a nice setup reasonable to fix many different plastics....

I have a whole bunch of spray cans that have plugged up. Hate wasting paint. So I figured I'd just take a "Church Key" can opener and punch a little hole in the bottom, to drain out the paint: You do not want to do this.

I have done that with cans of spray foam, was putting in a tub and was putting a layer of foam underneath it but the piece that sticks out of the top of the can kept snapping off.
Stuck a razor knife into the bottom and dumped the can under where the tub was supposed to go.
Did pretty good, only had one dime size drop get away.

Yea I've been scheming on the repair. Just pushed it in the shop to dry out over night.

This happened a couple of years ago. I thought I was going to be frugal and buy one of those printer cartridge refill kits. All the instructions were pretty straightforward and simple. I was thinking “ man, this is saving a lot of money “ . So, I am filling a black cartridge with the included syringe..... POP !! The darn cartridge exploded all over, me, the table, and the wifey (who was watching standing next to me). Let me tell you, that black ink does not come off....anything!
We went into the bathroom.... we both looked like Dalmatians! :shocked: We tried everything to get the spots off... nothing worked including lacquer thinner! I had to go to work looking like that... needless to say, a bunch of joking co-workers for days. Finally, the spots wore off / washed off after about a week.

It does not matter... I will pay whatever they charge for ink cartridges....
