Neighbor dog on my property harassing wildlife

I saw a 2 year old kid which had been bitten in the face by the family pet. She was lucky she didn't lose an eye, and will be disfigured for life.; The father said "My dog didn't do that"... there were two dogs alone in the room with the kid, before as well as after she was bitten.

Some people shouldn't have dogs or kids.

It is always a female behind dog problems. I had nasty experience with dog owner neighbors to the point it were shooting threats from the dog owner. His wife was heavily involved. These were 1 acre properties, homes close one to each other. Ended up selling our nice house and buying 5 acre property. I started nice and polite, nothing worked, they had 14 dogs on the property, even animal control sided with them. After we moved out, they went to jail for animal abuse, how ironic was that?

ANY dog can bite. The issue is we don't know why a dog that doesn't normally have a "biting issue" has bit someone in the first place.

You NEVER leave a small child alone in a room with a dog, no matter how docile the dog may seem from experience. No different than leaving a loaded gun within easy access of an unsupervised child.

I agree. However, they didn't learn a thing, and the kid still had to live in the trailer with the dog which bit her. Say what you want, if my dog ever bit somebody I would shoot him myself.

My unsupervised kids were around my loaded guns all their life, taught them early about guns and what they could do.. Never an issue!!!!!

Well now that depends on if the person it bit deserved it.

I find it hard to believe that a two year old understood what you were instructing them per firearm safety when they had access to loaded firearms.

Unlike you, if any of my dogs bit someone, I would want to know the exact circumstances leading up to the bite on the dogs part as well as how "vicious" the "attack" was. That said, I'm lucky. Carry a handgun in civilian life for self defense and never once had to use it. Out of all the dogs I've owned and "helped" in our home, never once had a dog bit someone.

er dogs can cause more damage with "one bite" than a smaller dog. The added reality is there are numerous variables at play per the circumstances which caused aggression on the dogs part on a supposedly innocent victim (dogs don't talk, so we can only listen to the people who were bit by the dog unless someone else witnessed the "attack"). May be a shock to some, but sometimes people do lie.
