I figured you ate him, but I also figured that you probably had some idea of what he weighed.

Best I can remember without straining too hard, I've shot 25 moose, and I never weighed even one of them.

My thing was getting fed, I don't give a flip how much they weighed...

BTW, only killed one with a shotgun using fine shot.

Anything is possible. Just not reliable to think that situation will most likely result in a kill..... Of the target anyway.....

Stopping and killing just isn't the same thing... I killed it, I never said I stopped it...

I've stopped a few bears though, including brown bears... Once stopped, they are pretty easy to walk up and do a finisher...

NO question about it, I killed a bull moose with my S&S 12ga., loaded with high brass #6's, at 30 yards...

Do you hunt all of your moose with a shotgun and #6 shot. Seems like there would be a better weapon or at least use slugs.

I had a similar issue. I told the owner I would kill his dog if it got on my property and threatened goats. Eventually they did, and I called the county sheriff. I had proof and evidence and the county sheriff went to dog owners ranch where this idiot had 14 dogs and required him to dispatch all 14 right there in front of the sheriff. Done over.
