Control valve kit.

Hi, I have a 2 spool valve that I am looking for a detente kit for 1 of the spools. I have seen these valves listed on Amazon and Northern Tool, their description is "Universal 2 spool, 25 GPM with 1 1/4" inlet and 1 " outlet, double acting 3000#. I have contacted 2 of the distributors of these valves neither of which sold the kits or very helpful either as well as at least a dozen "specialists". If anyone here has, or know where I can get one, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you for any help you can offer, James.

If I am correct your tractor is from the 1980's. Further that the 2 spool valve is of the same vintage

Getting a kit that is made for such an old valve is not possible.

Having a 25 gpm valve on a low hydraulic flow tractor is a bad idea. You end up with a valve which cannot be finely controlled and further, you also end up with far too big hoses making installation difficult and costly.

How about telling us why you want a detent and the type of detent as there are different types.

I'm with Dave M7040, to big of a valve for a little tractor. That could of not been JD's doing. Save that valve for something else and buy another one at 8 to 10 gpm with what you want in the valve.

Sorry, I screwed up. I did not explain that this question is NOT related to my little tractor, this is about piece of equipment that I am building. It is directed at anyone with knowledge of the valve and where I might be able to buy the detente kit for it. I thank you for responding and again apologize for wasting anybody's time James

Who is the actual manufacturer of the valve?

BTW...As a last resort you should be able to use the "universal" detent...it's called a "bungee cord"...

You might have to get a new valve that has the detent already...

Maybe you never noticed but bungee cords only work one way!
