Honda or Onan engine in a 420

Blacktruck, do you know what's wrong with the onan? Maybe it just needs a honing and new rings. I would give a call to Boomer at this website. He is extremely knowledgeable with these onans and will be able to help you with problems and parts.

Boomer's Used Onan Engine Parts

Not really certain of anything more than it has about 2000 hours on it and starting to smoke more than it should. I've ran it for several years and had seen a loss of power (seat of the pants feeling) and can't really pinpoint any specific problems as yet. Next time I am at home, I intend to pull the heads to check the bores. I will have to call the place you linked here. I appreciate the info. I had not ever seen him advertised anywhere. Thank you sir.

I have a "complete" good Onan engine in my barn that I'd sell for a couple hundred dollars... I think it's 18hp...

I got it for that price to have for a backup for my sawmill, but I'll never need it, so I'll sell it for what I have in it.
