looking at new toolcat

so a bit more info, they moved the diesel filler to drivers side and the hydraulic oil filler is now under the box, not a biggie but use to filling on the other side, the response on the go pedal will take some time to get use to, and would appreciate any suggestions on the transition from fast speed with cruise to slowing down, its instant brake, this does need some tome to figure out.

defiantly a must have power tach, beets getting out to lock the attachment, have to install a beacon, looking at the kit it has a grommet, hoping its not drill a hole in the cab, the series A had the wires outside the cab already.

will need some service, the drivers door has a gap of 1/4 inch at the front, im guessing adjustment but tried the bolt the door latch locks onto, its not slotted and there is a bracket this bolt mounts has 2 bolts holding it, loosened them and the bracket does not slide so at a loss how this is adjusted.

The door latch will latch up in 2 stages, loose first and tight if you slam it. Check to see if it is just latching at the first stage. It might be adjusted too tight and it is not reaching the 2nd tight stage. My bracket is slotted where it is held by the 2 bolts under the dash.

thanks, its latching in 2 places, I tried loosening the 2 bolts and seemed to move but when tightening it wants to pull back to the original position, will have to take another look later today

Have not used cruise on the G Series, so no help here. Do you have your foot on the go pedal when you turn off cruise?

Are you decreasing the speed setting or just disengaging cruise control? If you just disengaging, then I would assume the controller is seeing a setting of some xx mph, and then zero. So once the hydraulic pressure to the motors is turned off, the auto brakes engage automatically bringing you to an abrupt halt. I would try reducing the cruise control setting to slow down or putting you foot on the go pedal (that will take some getting used to I imagine to get it where you want it when you disengage).

the slowing from cruise is way better these days, decreasing the speed it the way to go, the door now seals as it should, the service guy massaged the door and good to go.

got a total of 20 hours now, snow is done for the year so need to find a mower, built a wood splitter for the excavator a few years ago, im looking for idea for the toolcat

Quick update, door is fixed with a service call, they massaged the door to fit the cab, it now closes with the same force as the passengers.

with the warmer weather and now doing the odd run up the hill to get a load of sand this new one is definitely slower than the old gal, indicated speed was 28 to 29 K kph depending on terrain but on flat roads it was easily maintained, this new machine is topping out at 22 to 23 kph, this converts to 13 to 14 mph, the specs say it should reach a speed of 18 mph, curious what sort of speed other Toolcats reach, 4 mph does not sound a lot but when I travel half mile to the pit it seems forever

My 2009 will only hit an indicated 18mph going down hill. No kidding. Not even on flat ground of which there is little here. The steeper the uphill grade, the slower it goes up, even unladened and at full power. It's just the way it is.

hi ruffdog, tires would not come into the actual indicated speed, at least that's my thought, the series A would do 18 to 20 mph indicated all day
