Maybe, maybe not. I do know one thing for sure, Sig's are plastic junk. Get a real gun, Get a Colt National Match.

Since you like to make assumptions, I'm gussing the answer is the OP is definately a better man.

Pretty much all my 220's/226's and 228's only have plastic on the grips (even the ones from New Hampshire). People not use to them just need to get past the double action first round. Have a couple of all steel Sigs (inlcuding the frame) to heavy for my own taste for carrying.

Have some 1911's, none in Colt. Thought Colt's were junk when I was issued one (a rifle) by Uncle Sam, but I'll be the first to admit that on a revolver, both colts and some tuned smiths have some very smooth actions.

HAD.........:laughing:Why did you sell it.......

Traded it for a .300 Winchester Mag.
Wanted a Weatherby, but too much $ for this non-horse owner guy
Besides, my dangerous game hunting days are way behind me

Those 2x4 whistling thu the regular walls like they were made out of marshmallow creme. Thats "interesting" if a little scary.

We may as well talk about something while we are waiting for news from the OP. Guns are always a great and interesting topic. Even 2x4 guns ! :)

Imagine what that could do with a tennis ball!

LOL my drivel is correcting your assumptions.

Hard to believe, but at one time Sig Sauer only had 3 models of handguns sold in the US, which they are still making, and to the best of my knowlege, none are made out of plastic. Yet you're all knowing gun knowlege is calling them junk. Hard to believe, but those Sigs were as bombproof as any plastic glock when they came out. So, if I only have to have one handgun to live on not worrying about it getting dirty, it wouldn't be a Colt semi, but either a Sig (or Glock if I had to have one).

Have a great day yourself.

FYI I don't think Colt revovers are junk, just that their rifles were overhyped when I was younger and had no interest in Colt. Buddy's Colt Anaconda in 44 was a nice shooting gun. That's where I learned the difference of 4" on the barrel could make a huge difference after I bought a 4" Mountain gun LOL

I don't understand that saying, but I'm thinking if you didn't own a horse you would be able to own more gun!

And I'd much prefer a gun!!:D

It’s a comedic reference to Peter 315, he being the “rich horse owner” and I being the “poor farmer” forced to sell hay to rich horse owners like him for 1980’s prices...........which I do :laughing:
