I have been gradually replacing the seeping hoses on the front end loader and saw this series of hoses and adapter that left me wondering.

The left side has what looks to be half inch hoses and right side has 3/8ths hoses. Should not the right side hoses be half inch as well? The top hose has what looks to be some sort of thread adapter on it.

If I remember correctly (and what I can find with a quick look at some stuff) those hoses are tractor supplied coming to the bulkhead. 3/8" is plenty big for that application however. That loader predates my joining the company (18 years coming up) so some things are tougher to answer.

Okay so will go from 1/2" to 3/8" at the bulkhead.
My tractor is is 18 years old. I assume the bucket was made in a similar time frame.
The sn starts with 02

Look at the top hose on the right side of the bulkhead.

Clearly it is different than the lower two on the right side.

The bulkhead fitting looks larger than the two below it yet the hose has increaser fitting to mate with bulkhead

Hi Dave
The top right hose had evidently been replaced with a different brand as there is wrong fitting with a hose adapter labeled "china". To my eye without disassembly looks like the adapter is a half inch pipe thread on the bulkhead going to a 3/8 something maybe JIS on the hose.

There were hoses seeping above them that have been replaced, I had hoped that all the oil on these hoses were from dripping but after drying them off they still look wet, so are on the list to replace.

We heat with wood and one of the uses of our machine is logging.
