What is best to wear on a tractor? Steel toe boots, regular boots, tennis shoes? I wear tennis shoes, as it makes it easier to get up and down on a tractor, plus getting my leg over the hump.

I generally wear relatively light-weight work boots. Tennis shoes make me feel a bit vulnerable.

If I expect to mostly or only be on the tractor it's "athletic shoes" (or tennis shoes) for me. If I'll be on and off I go with light leather work boots but without steel toes.

Steel toe (Wolverines) mainly because I had them when I retired. :D

I've some old Sketchers low cut shoes, almost like tennis shoes. Wide and comfortable. Wear on the tractor and when gardening and hiking.

I don't have special boots just to wear on the tractor...if I'm working around the place I wear high-top steel toe boots because that's what I've been used to wearing all my life (mandatory on any mine site). Got used to them and the extra protection they provide. And to those who wear low-tops...you've obviously never been exposed to cheatgrass.

I wear boots (without steel toes) when I'm working in the yard and that includes most of the tractor work. When I'm working in the shop I wear shoes (with steel toes) and sometimes wear them when doing stuff with the tractor. I've also been known to do just a little bit with the tractors while wearing sandals (although it's normally just moving them in/out of the barn).

I've tried the sandal thing on a riding mower. Feet got sunburnt.

I've never really been able to wear boots of any kind for long. Feet sweat too much. Heels get rubbed raw and blister.

Riding on the tractor, what ever I have on. Usually a pair of rubber/leather boots I'm likely to get into something wet and muddy. :p (LL Bean boots last twice as long as any other I tried) Splitting wood, heavy parts, chain sawing... steel tips. :2cents:

I nearly always wear work boots when I'm using the tractor. The current set have steel toes. I always wear steel toe boots when using a chainsaw.
