F series question

............................zip................... but I think if you get into a heavy grass you're going to have trouble getting the volume of grass out from under that deck with a rear discharge. Heavy grass will result in a large volume of grass that's getting thrown out from that mower.

The side discharge deck outlet is probably 28 - 30 inches wide vs. rear discharge outlet width of 72 inches so large volume of grass clippings should not be a problem because of RD outlet.

Blade selection also plays part in it.

Glad to hear you like the F3680 - my F3060 has 3500 hours on and I am looking forward to many more years of operation life left.

What’s really cool about the Fs is if you have a rear discharge deck and you have real heavy grass you can add a front flail mower.

The big question for me is that the F 2690 SERIES is $6k more than the ZD1211...is it worth it?

From my perspective, yes, but that’s because I have tremendous hills and would love to be able to swap the mower for a blower or a flail mower.
That being said, I’d look for a 3860 or 3060 to get the extra HP without a DPF.

My zero turn was a one wheel drive got stuck many times... So in my case, yes.

Flat ground probably no.

I found a f3680 with only 150 hrs...very clean. However he wants $18k with a new snow blade and 72" deck. It is extremely clean, but does that seem high for a 2013?

For me it seems a little high, What would a new F2690 cost around your area? I really like my F2690, would probably buy one again. But hoping it will last a very long time if maintained properly.
Again for me it is a high price, I would offer 16k to 16.5k. Probably right now it would be a good time to buy.

Good luck on whatever you decide, whether it is the used F3680 or a new "F", in my opinion you can't go wrong. Just remember what I said in an earlier post about mulching kit and 72 inch mower.

I agree with your offer figures. New F2690 running about $21800. I appreciate your input

Two years ago I came close to buying a flail mower for my F3060 but backed out.

I found only one manufacture (Peruzzo) making flail mower that would fit F-series but it was only 60 inches wide model. As far I recall the price was somewhere over 4 grand + shipping from a Midwest dealer.

At the time I would have paid 4 + grand if they had a 72 inch model.

It looks like they now have a 72 inch version!

Too bad.
