What is your opinion of this dealer installed option?

I really don't see a problem with it depending on what the OP is doing with the tractor. It is hard to tell but if that is where the output ports are, there may not be any other option. It does look like the shield is pretty tough.

The tractor house pic's appear to have the same set up from what I can see. Maybe I am missing something.

If that's where the lines have to be then maybe this isn't the right tractor for the OP?

Purchased a BX23S last week and scheduled to be delivered tomorrow (Wed). The dealer installed the lines inside the rear wheel well. Not sure if the pics shows it clearly, but the lines and shield reduce the clearance by more than half. Is this the correct? Would you accept this? Thanks in advance.

Are these parts a K_ubota OEM kit etc? or was it a custom fabrication application ??

I'll side with SDT. He is a Kubota tech btw.:)

Actually, I am not and never have been a Kubota tech.

I am, however, a retired design engineer, lifetime mechanic, etc.

It is my understanding that this is not the Kubota supplied third function set up.

I agree with Oosik , SDT and others. This is UNSAT for a brand new machine. If you do not care about mud, crud, ice, etc. lodging up in there and you will never ever put chains on the rig -- to each his own, you may not care. Mr. /pine raises a very good question: Is this the std Kubota kit installation or it is a homebrew by the dealer? I would bet, as SDT said, it is the latter. At very least I'd discuss the "WHY?" with the dealer before accepting it.

My 2380 has the same set up. Must be what they do. I figured some of it was for the Kubota third function the dealer installed. The shield appears to be steel and installed Very firmly

Tractor House has lots of pictures. It looks like lines are run differently (to me).

Neil Messick just did a video on these. Pretty sure that is where they are supposed to be.

In reality, there is no wheel articulation so the clearance remains constant. I'm curious if the OP took delivery or refused it....
