Neither one looks like a good size loader/grader option in my opinion.

FYI if you use a loader put something on the rear for ballast.

I bought my GC1720TLB in '16 and paid 22K with the front snowblower. Chose the 0% for 84 months as it washed with a lower price and shorter term at around 3%. I believe the math was actually 1 dollar less at 0% over term. That said, I wish I would have gone a little bigger. If I had it to do all over again I would have looked at 30 horse machines, but hindsight is 20/20. Hope the 1723 has better hydraulic lines. I chose it over the Kubota for price at the time. Massey's financing is through AGCO obviously, but they accepted I just have it on my homeowners insurance. No extra policy necessary.

I’ll vote for the MF. Currently have a 1723e, TLB with all the goodies. At 130 hrs in a year, no issues. Last one was a 2014 GC1710. Sold it last year at 550 hours, no issues.

I use them hard on our homestead/farmette and commercially.

I did not care for the treadle pedal, when I bought the first one. Didn’t look at anything else when I bought the second one.

tre20200516_124140_resized.jpg This is why I have my Massey.
That is solid Ash (with some Emerald Ash borer).
Done with clamp on short forks, took from down slope and drove up backwards and down the driveway.
I use the BH for stumping and trenching.
I have 6 acres and lots of wood so needed something small to go between the trees, ymmv
Neighbor has a Kubota, also a nice machine, his was more $ and had no BH. So maybe you can negotiate more on the MF?

The Kubo doesn't have position control. :yuck: If the M-F doesn't have it I wouldn't touch either one. Grading almost demands gauge wheels without that feature.

0% financing is really just a % baked into every payment. You're committed to that expense and lesser equity position (vs balance owed) if you resell or until you pay it off early & still by total pmts calculated. A CU loan can be paid down early and save interest. Financing is another product. 'Long term' is where a lender's profit is and everybody wants us to borrow vs save up & pay cash.

I try to put ~1/2 down and finance thru my CU. Cash price on my T1520 was ~$1800 less than 0% option. Anyone who quotes the same price for either is likely the actual lender and willing to gouge cash buyers for not signing up for it.

I have a Kubota BX - but I paid cash so I dont know MUCH about the insurance, but from what I have heard it covers ALOT of stufff. IE accidental damage while using the tractor.

MF has 870lbs lift capacity, Kubota 739. Thats close....but the MF is definitely more. To be honest....I looked over the MF tractors and REALLY liked them. I saw a few advantages RIGHT away over the BX.

Dual curl cylinders was an obvious one.....and it seemed like I didnt have to run the tractor as high on the RPMs to operate the loader well. That being said....meh, a few less rpms isnt a big deal, its a tractor and thats how its made to operate.

Which dealer seemed to be most likely to offer better service after the sell? - THAT would be important unless your going to do all your own service (I have lots of equipment and my stuff rarely sees the dealer).

I HAVE a BX....and wouldnt hesitate to buy another. Kubota makes really solid machines.

......but I also wouldnt hesitate to buy the MF either. A bit more loader capacity, smidge better hydraulics........and I honestly like the looks of those tractors.

You cant go wrong with either - just buy which ever one makes you tingle that little bit more.

When I bought my BX I opted for the KTAC insurance. I financed it zero down and zero interest. I did NOT have to use KTAC but the loan terms required it to be insured. I could have used my homeowner's but according to my agent, it would have required a 'rider' and for about the same amount. Homeowner's didn't cover even close to what the KTAC did such as 'oops I screwed up'.

I paid the tractor off a little early but I didn't hurry because of the KTAC insurance and the zero interest. Once paid off I dropped the KTAC so I have no dedicated insurance on it unless my homeowner's has a heart but I am not banking on it.

I was in the same boat.

Went with the MF due to better specs. And I liked the dual piston FEL.

I am kicking myself in the butt for not looking at LS tractor though.

Especially if you looked at the new MT225-S.... my neighbor, who just bought an MT125 about 6 weeks ago, just traded it in on the new 25-S. Basically the same as the Kub B2601. He paid $15,900 for it. I get to see it in person tomorrow.

Do not get me wrong, the MF is a good tractor. You will get a lot of work done with it. Congratulations.
