2020 Kubota MX6000
Hello, new to forum and looking for my first tractor. Thought I was close to buying a used MX5100 but the sellers weren't budging on their price so I am looking into buying new. Here is what I am wanting. Please tell me your thoughts on which model you think would be best.

I narrowed down that the Kubota MX 50 HP would probably be the ideal size. Honestly I am thinking 50-70 HP. I want HST and definitely 4x4.

I live on 22 hilly acres. 2/3 wooded. Attachments I know I want/need - Loader and backhoe, bush hog, box grader, pallet forks.

I am leaning toward the Kubota, but also wanting to explore the Mahindra brand. Heard a lot of good things about Mahindra. What model Mahindra would you suggest? What would the MX5200 compare to from Mahindra?

Thanks for any help and guidance!

I don’t mean to muddy the water but I live in a similar type terrain. I recently compared MX5800 with a Massey Ferguson 2760 and bought the Massey. 57 hp, heavy weight, hst, and the rear wheels can be set to 82 1/2 inches apart. Massey is offering 84 months interest free or $4000 cash rebate. After rebate, I paid $30,400 plus tax for the tractor before adding top and tilt, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't ruled out any brand. I will have to check that out. I think there is a Massey Ferguson dealer within 40 or 50 miles. Thanks

Personally, in my search for a tractor, I found the Kubota to be vastly superior to all Mahindra offerings. I was not impressed when looking at the Mahindras.

I bought a 4x4 MX5200 new, and the wheels can't be set nearly that far apart per recommendations as the MF. I think mine are at the widest setting and it's about 74" maybe. I love the tractor, I have 152hrs on it in about 9 months.

Have wanted an mx4800 4x4 for some time now QA loader and grapple, prefering not to have the turbo as I don't think I need it? Having looked and studied the entire MX line and twice tested two models, they look to be great tractors. Mahindra/Kioti dealer just up the road and they really struggle to sell anything other than small Kioti under 40hp. IMO- the MX is a lot of machine in it's class so doubt anyone could be sorry they bought one!
good luck with your decision!

I'm not sure I'd put Mahindra in the same (quality) class as Kubota.

Check out a McCormick X1/ Branson 20 series if you’ve got a decent dealer for either. My McCormick was a bunch heavier/ stronger lift and more features than similar size Mahindra or Kubota. Very good, solid tractors.

I have a 2 year old MX5200 and it's been a flawless machine, If you're getting the BH92 which I have it's the easiest to mount & unmount backhoe by far of any of the 6 I've had. I have a couple of friends Mahindra's which I've driven and they aren't in the same class as Kubota. Parts availability was a problem for one whose less than one year old machine was down for several months waiting for parts.
Personally I'd go Kubota

Speaking of parts availability, I know someone who had tipped over an mx machine and had a runaway engine. The engine was replaced and returned to the owner in less than a month, under the insurance program.

Kubota is tippy top.

I sold a 1998 Kubota L2900 with about 500 hours on the clock a couple of years ago. Great tractor and very reliable, I highly recommend Kubota. I was on the verge of buying a new cab M series in the 60-70 hp range but I found a good deal on a used low hour Deere 4720.
