Had an issue with the tractor turning over, catching, then almost immediately stalling. Suspected the fuel filter, changed it out, still had the issue. Found that it was the ignition key switch. If the key was jiggled in the ignition, it would shut it down, without being moved from the "ON" postilion. It was changed out last year due to corrosion on the original. Tightened up the dash nut a little, seemed to help.

Unrelated but still interesting. Looked over the engine for rodent damage, found an intake manifold bolt missing, and the air filter housing has bee cutting grooves into the radiator hoses.

Looks like you saved yourself a future headache.

There is very little clearance for things like hoses on these tractors. That's why it is very important to check for these kind of issues.

You should also check the hydraulic hoses running to the back, for rubs.

When mine was newer, I was at the dealer pointing out an issue with the way one of the hydraulic hoses was run, and I found about half of the units at my dealer had the same issue. It caused the right rear tire to rub on the hose.

On your first picture, the air filter housing metal clamp looks like it is against the radiator hose.

I would loosen the hose clamp at the other end of the air filter housing and rotate it so it's not touching the hose.

You could also add apiece of slit hose over the radiator hose for protection.

Had the same issue with my 2310. Initially moved stuff around (esp. air cleaner housing), reinforced with tape, eventually replaced the upper hose. This was relatively recently, within the last 2 years, at around 850 hrs.

Loose bolts are something that yes, need to be looked for, and fairly often. Nature of the beast.... rather like an airplane with a flat-four engine. They tend to shake a lot!

poor quality control!.

Some of it was.

Some if it was because it was a new machine, and the problems had not been discovered during testing.

The first such defect I knew about was the end of the throttle cable was poking the lower radiator hose.

I had missed that one on my machine.

A few found out about it the hard way.

My Lycoming did more than it's share of shaking when it had a fouled plug, or when you shut it down.
