I plan to pickup a Hercules miter saw stand tomorrow. I should have a new Dewalt miter saw delivered Friday. I went back and forth between the Hercules saw and DeWalt but finally decided I have gotten good service out of my DeWalt tools.

You should look at this Delta stand, not much more expensive and easy to work. Will fold up and roll without removing the saw!! I've had mine about 4 years , love it!

Got a new, full coupon book in the mail yesterday rather than the abbreviated ones more recently.

I've gone from getting two of all mailers, one to me, one to ranch name, down to nothing. Last I got was in January?

I do still get all the emails.

There is a coupon for $159 for the Hercules stand. I was under the impression the saw can remain attached to the Hercules stand.

Could be, the way it looks it would be a pain... ask if you can try one out first and see how easy it is to do. With the Delta there is only a foot pedal, push the pedal with your foot and it collapses and locks then just roll away. When you are ready to use it again get it in position, push the pedal and raise it up into the work position again..

There are better videos out there but this is a nice short one.. folding it starts at about the 1:35 minute mark

I knew a guy that actually visited a factory in China that made pneumatic tools.

He observed a production line that actually changed brand names every so often.
As I recall he said: SnapOn for 20 mins, then Chicago Pneumatic, Sears etc and so forth.
ONLY labels changed!
Ever notice most labels are stuck on into a machined depression? and no longer part of castings?
Cheaper tools are simply a paper sticker with higher pricy ones sporting a 3D style.

Same but longer ago than that... I only get emails anymore, used to get the catalog things once a month. I was even on ITC last year and never got the mailers that you have to have for the coupons (the weekly email didn't cover everything). I talked to a few managers trying to resolve it with no success, so I did not renew the ITC...

They've told me for a couple years now, that if I don't give them my phone number I won't receive their mailers. I respond with "Promise?" every time. ;) I can get any coupons online or in email, so I really don't need the paper copies.

I wound up buying a Delta at Lowe’s. I have not unboxed it yet.
