Anyone sell a cover for the top link?

I just added a quick hitch to my Kubota and the two times I've used it I've inadvertently leaned against the top link when attaching the pto. The result is two ruined shirts with grease on them.
Clothes are ruined if you get grease on them? 95% of my clothes are ruined and I didn't even know it! ;) I clicked on this thread thinking it was gonna be about keeping the top link from rusting by covering it. Was gonna suggest Fluid Film, but that might ruin clothes too.

If you park the tractor inside, simply remove all the grease,, and enjoy it,,
If you want to keep your top link greased,, go to Tractor Supply and get a new cheap top link to use, instead,,
the ones they sell do not need greased, they are plated.

Put the greased top link in the shed,, hanging on a nail,,
it most likely uses plastic for the bearing surfaces so it don't have to be greased. not good because they can't take the strain that metal on metal can withstand, and the ball can pop out unexpectadly!..

Actually - it's not so much grease stains on my work clothes. It's all the faded colors. Bleach & HD detergents used to remove the grease.

And most days I will, actually, go into town wearing my work clothes. A whole lot of town folk would not recognize me in a new pair of jean and T-shirt.

You guys are hilarious! Yes I知 a CPA but luckily I own my practice, and as a country boy at heart, I wear jeans every day at the office. I tend to jump on the tractor without changing, much to my wife痴 displeasure. I like the pipe insulation idea. Sounds like an opportunity for an entrepreneur to come up with a better solution.

Try adding a little DAWN dish washing detergent - safe enough to use on ducks after an oil spill - also works to remove 5th wheel grease.

I always try to wear shirts with holes in them when bush hogging. Leaves a place for the bugs to get out.

As you've read, there's probably not a lot of folks that would bother. :D Seriously though, as long as your top link can remain a fixed length most of the time, I'd use PVC pipe. Get whatever size fits over the top link (guessing 2") and then get reducers (guessing 2x1' or 3/4") for either end to keep it from sliding back and forth. Glue one reducer on and use that end for the end of the top link without the lock nut. Leave the other reducer unglued and sand the end of the pipe so that it slides in and out of the reducer easily. Drill and tap a hole for a set screw or two to hold it on the pipe. Make sense? I could build what I'm talking about almost quicker than trying to describe it in writing but hopefully you get the idea.
