Good morning!!!!

67 degrees going for 90 today. And it was raining when I got up this morning. NWS says Denton got .95", but my gauge only got .68". It's quit for now, at least, but more in the forecast. And I've gotten more than 3 inches in the last 3 days. Everything I've read says the number of covid cases is going up, so I don't know how many of the places that have opened will now close again. The main office of my credit union had one employee test positive this past week, so they've closed the office. Members have to deal with drive-in facilities, telephone, or Internet. No problem for me at this time.

Good morning. 70 going up to 82 and sunny.
Super hot/humid weekend . Stump20200620_122537.jpg
Finally got the stump out, one of the roots close to the other tree was over 9" top to bottom.
Chainsaw would not start , seems like no spark, tried old plug and nothing. Think it's still under warranty. With so many falling Ash trees can't be without a saw and my backup saw won;t start either (figures).

Drew - good to see you back and getting some good attention and food.

David - glad to hear wife's operation went well, hope you never have to go through that again! Doctor delayed one of my Ops by 4 hours as his plane came in late from a holiday trip.

RNG - don;t forget A/C will be mostly inductive load, so peak will be pretty high for a brief time.

Ron your pictures really bring the attitude of what you have in your sight, more important that the camera itself.

Stay safe and be well.

68F and raining @ 10:00. High supposed to be 77F.

Coming down at a pretty good clip. WU says about 1/3" in the last 24.

Tree frogs apparently loving it - judging from the occasional serenade I'm getting.

Definitely will be no outside work today.

Need to finish coffee and clear the cobwebs and figure out what direction to head ... :confused2:

Good morning to all! Low was a balmy 64. High today should top 90. No rain (as usual).

Cleaned up all the tools, dug out some pine for the window jambs / trim and cut to length. At that point I was dragging and it was way too hot .... called it quits for the day.

Today will pick up where I left off after going to the local lumber yard for some shelving material and additional pieces of trim.

Drew, sounds like the garden ladies came through! Savor the good stuff!

RS, nice weld job. Looks strong, good penetration.

Wng, nice job on the garden. Good size.

Ken, I think you need a bigger bucket!:D I bet that was a job getting that out!

RNG, will voltage spikes like that damage some of the equipment? Do they have large capacitors that could even that out?

David, glad you and Sophie made it home and were able to relax. Hope the procedure was successful.

I hope Jay is ok. I know someone sent a PM.... any word back?

Going to get moving.... everyone have a great day!

85 headed to 88, humid and sunny.
Got grass mowed before dealer picks up my tractor to make a couple of small warranty repairs and 50 hr service. I’m getting better at using cruise control.
Drew, glad you’re doing better.

Drew, glad youæ±*e doing better.
thanks Randy. I just got called a new name. Told this by BIL who spoke with medical lady here at assisted living.
They said I was their GOAT. huh?
Greatest of All Time :D
I really am an outlier, most here are pretty old and hobbling along, my situation is unusual since my home was sold and I had no place else to go, so
this made sense.
Staff is extra nice to me, I engage with all of them which I don't think is the norm.

waiting on lunch, then back to my book.

This is one of the runs when the grid was disconnected from the system and everything was running on the battery bank, Ted. I don't think the drops will damage the solar power equipment, but I do worry about the electronics in the AV rack and the many Apple HomeKit devices and video cameras installed here. It's enough to cause the safety solenoid in the propane stove to trip, and the lights to dim significantly.

I have a whole house surge supresser from the old house stashed away in a box around here somewhere, but I don't know if it would help with this or not.As you suggest, maybe a big capacitor bank in line with the battery bank would smooth out the transients, but my college electronics is just rusty to be dangerous.

The project manager will be here tomorrow for the final inspection, so I'll talk to him about it. With as many systems as they've installed, they probably have a solution, and hopefully it won't add too much more to the cost.

At least they're not calling you an OGOAT (Old GOAT)

I know those kinds of places aren't cheap, and wonder if you couldn't get the penthouse and room service at the local Hilton for a better rate?:laughing: Or do you need close medical supervision that room service couldn't provide?
