New garage time!

All two post auto lifts that I have helped install were 12' tall. Not 11'11". 12'. Really need 12'2'' to stand them up easily. Hope you are allowing for your ceiling material thickness in your equation.

We forgot that tidbit in my Son's shop. Had to use a shop mall to beat the lift into place. You can't see that it raised the ceiling 5/8" but it did.

At this point, it would be easy to just add another plate for height.

I am guessing this project has been a good weight loss program.

The last couple of projects I’ve lost about 40lbs. In between projects I just focus on not putting it back on. Coupled with 3 cracked teeth a year ago that put me on a liquid diet for 6 months, the pounds just fall off!

Getting there! Headers above the garage doors finished, end plates in all 4 corners so I'll have something to nail the drywall to. Left and rear walls straitened. Whoever had the idea to put on a 3rd top plate, good call. I did just that. Still getting used to walking on the planks on top of the scaffolding. I've lost my balance and fallen from great heights a few times in my life, so I'm a bit cautious. Tomorrow is the 3 top plates on the right and front.

To top it off a rainbow appeared and at the end of the rainbow, my garage!

Yes, already done with the rear corner. Also no seam is over top of another seam and every seam is over top of a stud.
