Here is a picture! I had the backhoe off for a few days and when I went to put it back on the hydraulics had settled. I could not get the quick attach to connect because it caused pressure in the line. I finally got it figured out after a while.

Anybody have any ideas of how to keep the backhoe from doing that when it is in storage?

Usually if you block up underneath the BH frame. Then settle it down onto those blocks before disconnecting the hydraulics. Also make sure you release all the pressure in the tractor system by cycling the loader valve when the tractor is not running before you disconnect.

Same when going to hook up the BH, shut the tractor down, release pressure by cycling the loader, then hook up lines.

Congrats on getting the new tractor!

Thank you! I will certainly do this next time!

Getting the backhoe back on has been the bane of my existence. *You need to have ALL the pressure off the backhoe before you disconnect or it will be near impossible to get the lines connected back. *You have to take the male end of the backhoe line and push it really hard against the backhoe itself to release the pressure....and when you do get ready for hydraulic fluid money shot all over your chest and face. *Mmmmmm, hydraulic fluid. *I'm at the beginning stages of building a garage with leanto's on either side for implements. *My plan for the backhoe is to build a cradle of sorts to keep it at the precise level and allow the hydraulics to relax. *There is no way I'll ever make it into heaven if I have to deal with having to reattach a pressurized backhoe again. *Soooooo many bad words. *I'm sorry again God.*

It was supposed to get delivered today but they called and said their mechanic was too busy to get it prepped properly. Looks like Thursday now. I spent the last two days building a carryall.

Did you have plans for that carry-all? Looks cool in the pic you posted. Wondering how to build one myself...

I am past struggling now with my 235 mounting and dismounting after I added 12" each side of the hydraulic lines. My close friend and I where chatting about the difficulty in the on and off of the backhoes. He did more than I did, he bought an additional set of quick connects to lengthen I unscrewed quicks and had pieces made up, joined, put quicks on the ends. Since then mounting is a breese when on uneven terrain.
I did finally purchase enough wood for backhoe cart, plus large wheels rated at 600 pounds each that should hold metal off the ground.
Wheels have to be mounted on 6 x 6s first before cart build to build a saddle, picture two 6 x 6s spaced 2 1/2 feet apart with 2 x 4 nailors added to sides. Thats where the wheels will be bolted down on the 6 x 6s so a large propane tank can readily be rolled over and over while my wife takes a sharpy stands at one end at a time and lets sharpy touch close to the ends to mark the exact center of the ends to make a lawn roller.
Brb, dog is going bananas...
