I'm considering a high lift bucket for the toolcat so I can load with it.
Does anyone have experience using one on a toolcat?

over winter I use a high lift bucket and works great, never tried loading anything other than snow as its a 100 inch wide, even loaded full with snow there are times the weight is too much for machine, if I had a regular bucket size high lift I see no reason not to use one

I will note prior to the 2020 Toolcat I had a 2005 model, this did not work with the bucket due to the roll back when raising the arms

Thanks.
Mine is a G series, so the rollback should be ok..
I'm looking to load a single/tandem dump truck with standard height sides - (10 yd) with dirt. So, I was planning on a finding a 5' or 6' bucket if the height/reach works.
I have no idea how snow and dirt compare in weight as I've never loaded snow. I assume it depends on how wet it is - snow or dirt...

Is this what you are talking about?

Similar. I've seen that vid before, but could not determine bed height. This is what I want to load. The bucket pivot point on the boom is the even with the top of the bed (not including side boards). I've been building a loading ramp, but its not very efficient.

If you watch the video and compare the bucket pivot points and the bucket reach-over height, It would reach over your side boards.

Nice catch! Thanks.
I didn't take note of that in the video. I'm going to give one a try I think...
I'll keep everyone posted on how if works out.

ShanClan, my bucket for snow is a little different as my dump cylinders are at the bottom of the bucket, the hinge point is just behind the cutting edge so yes I could load this truck easily as the cutting edge would easily clear the truck

when clearing snow I never use the tilt function, once its set just lift and dump, my bucket is about 1 1/2 yard capacity

Great point about the pivot point and bucket design. I'm now looking at the varying manufacturer designs to determine the pros and cons of each - there are several...
Thanks for the feedback.
