mirror

would like to put a remote controlled mirror on my cat. has anyone done this and if so what did you use.

Ours came with three mirrors that cover what is behind the cat.

What are you wanting to see in the mirror?

i have mirrors on it currently. was just thinking of adding remote controllable ones so that when you hit a branch and screw up the alignment you can hit a button and get it back. just lazy, I guess.

I took my front outside mirrors off before I broke them off. I work in tight quarters with fences, trees, and buildings so I thought I would save them. I mowed my tall grass with the rotary cutter yesterday and it sure would be handy having a rear facing camera!

I set the mirrors in close and they do pivot if something hits them.

how do you find visibility of the right mirror, I find the need to turn it 90 degrees go get decent view, thought about the long mounting bar

It is good. With it set in close and forward, I view it through the windshield:

Remote control mirrors would be a pain to add with all the controls that would be needed. I think if you worried about them being hit, why not just add rear cameras. That way you could have more coverage then with mirrors. Several cameras and split screen with ability to go full on any would be ideal IMO.

I've got both sides set up vertically. I need to be able to see both rear tires and also down the road so vertically works best for me. On the right side, I've got mine set up like Xfaxman. The problem with that is when the windshield dirty, I can't see through the windshield to the mirror well enough, and the wiper doesn't get that low on the windshield. I've got a wired 5" camera/screen that I bought at Costco on the center of the dash to see straight back. For some reason, my center mirror is mounted very high on the windshield and even with the mirror down as low as it will go it doesn't give me enough clear field of view back down the road.

If only design engineers would ask long time customers what upgrades they'd like to see, they'd have a much better product. And that goes for any piece of equipment, from Toolcats to dishwashers.

took a closer look today, the left mirror mount is bent vertical where the mirror mounts and the right side is horizontal where the mirror mounts, will get a picture in the light, odd the left and right mount is different

thaught of lowering the rear mirror yes its got a odd view
