The big roaches aren't the ones you have to worry too much about. Those are usually American cockroaches or wood roaches. They don't tend to be found in huge concentrations compared to German cockroaches. Those are much smaller, and often appear in heavy groups and reproduce like mad! Those are the ones the infest apartment buildings, houses, etc... to the point you have to call exterminators. Disgusting.

Yah gets what ya pays fo'....68 cents last more then five years call it good.......there are better quality 15 amp switches for 2 bucks or so.

I bought the 20 amp because I plan on adding four more shop lights to the same breaker circuit.
With only five shop lights, I could hear the cheap 68 cent model sizzle.....arrgh....nah ain't staying.....

Actually they aren't 68 cents. I buy the contractor pack of 10 for $4.90.

Beep Beep

With me, its stink bugs that cause issues with generator transfer switches. They get into the cooling veins and can block the contactors in the transfer mechanism. Ive been carrying an air compressor in the work truck....easy enough fix. Dumb bugs.

I owned a refrigeration shop for 38 years doing residential air conditioning and refrigeration work. We got a service call on a refrigerator that my service man was not familiar with so i went on the job myself. I pulled the refrigerator out and removed the back cover and at least 10,000,000 roaches ran out and ran all over the house. After a minor repair I left and went back to the shop. Upon returning, I was told the customer phoned up, not knowing that I was the owner of the company, and complained that the serviceman had brought over a load of roaches and spread them in her house and she wanted the company to pay for an exterminator.

I called her back explaining that I was the owner and it was her roaches that came out of her refrigerator and got on me and in my tool box and she needed to pay an exterminator to get my shop rid of the roaches. She hung up on me and I never heard from her again.

Ants kept destroying components of my driveway alarm. Put two mothballs in box with the stuff and no more ants.

just a couple days ago a widow lady in the next county wanted me to replace all her plugs and switches, she said she had the material. I showed up and she had bought the cheap stuff now I am not as strong as I once was but I stripped the threads off at least three of the screws on the neutral side of the plugs while tightening the wires. I see a call back in my future.

Although I have had lightning destroy my cameras in my barn twice, it is out of the question here because it happened on a nice sunny day with no rain or lightning.

You know a laptop power supply makes a much bigger arc/snap sound than one would expect?
The more modern lamps - compact fluorescents and leds - have the same style power supply in the lamp and make that sort of arc in the switch on every use.
So, now general purpose life is much harder on switches than before.
I'm changing them at a much higher rate than when we were all on incandescents.
