Back in the bad old days when working up in the high country we often encountered 2 and 3 day trail rides, the customers were mainly young women but there were a few young blokes for in the words of that famous poem (The man from Snowy River) 'The word had got around' the male to female ratio was about 4:1 in the blokes favour which they thought would guarantee a weekend of carnal delights.
Most had never been on a horse before and the anatomy being somewhat different to womens guaranteed involuntary abstinence, at the end of the day you would see them walking awkwardly around, bollocks bruised and the size of watermelons plus stumbling like they had the Hindenburg between their knees.
Ladies were safe from any unwanted (or desired) after dark interludes and the groans heard from the sleeping quarters were most certainly not ecstasy.

Yeah, I've done an Easter long weekend ride up the Gippsland Highlands... rode the whole time in jodhpurs, chapettes and, most importantly, tight silk undies (had to buy those special at Myers ;)). Also, every morning before mounting up, I'd go through a thorough set of leg, torso & upper arm stretches. Riding is full-body exercise.

I was fine for the weekend. The other blokes... not so well.

LOL. You all crack me up.

I used to do "endurance" rides. 50-75 miles in one outing, not uncommon. Probably nothing compared to your trips.

Walking afterwards, one could "feel" it.

An easy riddle for you Sir bunyip . Pertaining to your subject matter .
Interesting when Aethenoth galloped in Coventry Warwickshire at midday on market day 1035AD "he" never had that problem . Then again "he" was on the bottom !!!

No looking it up now , the answer must come from your intellectual brain matter ! Good day Sir !!!
