That looks like a good way to get a tractor upside down in your lap. I'll stick with my winch.

I'm guessing he has no power at the end of that boom to raise that log farther..

You mean @16:50 when they'y getting air in tires, good question and I dont know, maybe thats how hillbillies are just like on the ole TV show Beverly Hillbillies, guns and bare feet, when it comes to good carving wood they dont take chances.

That hillbilly good of got that wood out better with just a DC winch on the boom pole. I like the part where he took out the distributor to adjust points, seem so one has to make sure to get it back in right position and not to turn motor over or have more trouble then points.

Now after all that boom pole yanking he has to fix the 3-point lift pump, man of many talents trying to get by.....

8n's are really pathetic (read weak) on the 3 point, I'm surprised it took it as long as it did!

Our first big, July thunderstorm registered over 75 mph winds and knocked down dozens of trees on my property. Some of those trees are going to the mill, while others are going to be processed as firewood, and still more trees will go straight to slash piles to be burned after the first snow this winter. Here is one big, storm damaged oak that will be processed as firewood.
