I have self cancelling detent and a float.

I use the float valve for all attachments and only use the detent if I need two remotes for a machine.

I much prefer the "feel" of the float lever, and I run a couple single acting cylinder machines so the float position gets used all the time.

Is the valve stacks from surplus center that say check valves are pilot operated? Where did you get your remote valve?

I would imagine if they have check valves they are pilot operated check valves.

Thanks for the link. Impressive fabrication and documentation you did adding remotes. Many good ideas.
You mentioned shrouds. Any heat or leak problems? Any abrasive covering needed to the work lines?
