We getting some rain but the 95F days wilts me.

The clean up continues around the place with the shop where my son now lives. We got an early start yesterday but burning stumps did not help with the comfort level. Next weekend is to be nice but he is camping with some Boy Scout friends at the Garden of the God's in IL so they should have a good time. At least the days are getting shorter so we know winter is coming.

We are using trees for backhoe service work because it is cooler. I have turned my son into a shade tree mechanic I guess.

I have always loved that term. Way more comfy than working in a stuffy shop plus better lighting!!!

Speaking of spraying.

When we were building our house we had a contractor come in and stain/seal our concrete floors. He used a hand sprayer to apply both. He also had a small air bubble onhand. I was curious what that was about. Learned pretty quick. That's how he pressurized his sprayer.

I immediately went out and bought a pump sprayer with a blow off valve. Drilled a hole and installed a tubeless tire valve stem. It rocks!!!!!

Used it this morning to spray the gravel parking areas and driveway by the house and shop. Had air handy in the shop. Add air until the blow off valve opens. Spray until you need more pressure. Repeat.

I have that same sprayer. I didn't know it went off when over pressurized. I only used it to release pressure before removing the lid.

I think I have a valve stem in the junk pile, I'm going to give your tip a try. Thanks.

I lubed it with Bead Sealer. Don't think that's necessary. Probly made it install easier.

I didn't even have a shed to work in until I was 28 years old. Got my first shop with concrete floor when I was 44 years old.

There are two different sizes of valve stems. So be careful which one you drill a hole for. I just measure with a calipers and drill the hole a size or two smaller. It sure takes the drudgery out of spraying with a small tank.
