Do the black raspberries taste as tart as red raspberries? Anyway, I'll be over there in a bit, so save me a bite. :)

Black raspberries are not as tart imo.

The seeds were still in the berries.

a mug of rooibos tea is steeping, then back to my book.
David, glad storm is missing you, my step SIL on Oahu is boarding up her house now
Chris, I think I'm going to use the not absolutely medically necessary (coronavirus risk) rational to avoid getting an
implantable heart monitor. Particularly when I have zero symptoms and first monitor showed nothing the matter.

But I sure would like to get a haircut, almost three months now. Hair is so thin now contemplating cutting the top off anyway, not much more than a wispy combover now anyway. Chemo sure messes up your hair...

Talking about doctors. I have had 2 calls and 3 letters from different doctor's offices telling me to schedule various routine visits and tests. Problem is that this disease is still going around. I'm sure that they are wiping down the door handles etc. but this junk is airborne. Of course doctors are businesses. They have pay rolls and rent and insurance and all the same personal expenses that everyone has. That doesn't mean I want to be exposed to an infectious disease. I don't even like to go in during flu season. Just hoping I can make it past this junk.

Chris

You might want to reconsider. I've seen several posts lately about people postponing examinations and procedures that died because because the underlying problem remained untreated.

I figure if I can't rely on medical people to adequately sanitize their place of business, there's no point in going anywhere because nothing's going to be as clean and sanitary. So far, so good.

Yes you did. One of my neighbors thought I had a girlfriend after seeing my 91 year old Aunt visit me many times.
No Girlfriend. Just a very sweet Aunt.

LOL Yes, that I remember. Thought maybe I had missed something more. 🤙

Drew,
Likely just another couple hours for us, but Oahu and others still in direct path

Have you considered external monitoring of your AFIb? I check mine on my Apple Watch every morning.
I got mine quite inexpensively via this study The HEARTLINE Study: Research study to improve AFib outcomes
Sophie got picked for the non watch group so didn’t enroll.

Chris, I would have to agree with RNG. Likely the Dr ofc risk is minimal, especially compared to the alternative of missing some critical care. That said, we have experienced, 2 eye dr offices, a hospital, health clinic, and dentist last couple of months. Procedures differed with each, but felt safe in them all.

Yeah I'm thinking about it. Some of this stuff really is routine. The stuff that I would have to go to the hospital to do is the stuff I worry about. That place is usually a mad house.

The question on my mind is how do you sanitize air?

I worry about the people who aren't worried about the disease. We have talked to friends who go to the grocery store. They say there are still a lot of people who don't wear masks.

Another 2 loads picked up, probably just one more to go but taking a break until later when it is cooler. Currently 91F and a lot less cloud cover than earlier. It’s hot.

The Woman is fixing macaroni salad, going to have hot dogs on the grill.

Will fill sprayer to clean one of the smaller pieces of siding so she can get a look at the stain when it’s dry.

Might sand some tools handles and treat with BLO.

Have you considered external monitoring of your AFIb?

the first time they used an external monitor for two weeks and it showed absolutely no problems. It's defensive medicine since I've had a stroke.
But with zero history of heart issues, plus a successful first pass, I question why I need to do it again. Particularly after cardiologist said I looked good and didn't need to come back.

I'm going to ask cardiologist (again) for an opinion.

95 degrees out, feels like 102

Awning did not come with 2 remotes?
My sausage is Bob Evans links. Mostly because that what they have at Sam’s Club.
Hmm, soon another grapple owner.

Nope, one remote is the deal, but I can get one for 19.95. LOL
I get my Swaggerty at Sams also, and Bob Evans is my second choice.
Maybe, maybe not on the grapple, at least I want think about it.

While drinking my Double Red Rooibos Tea I filled out the application and I'm in and have my watch ordered!

I filled out the application a few weeks ago, known history of Afib, heart procedure in the last year, I was turned down for the study.

I buy Bob Evans because of package size. 24 last me 8 weeks. That’s about end of Best By date.

Randy .. do you have a comparison of jaw "grip force" between hydraulic cylinders and electric actuators?

May not be an issue for you but I've had the experience, with both 55 HP and 100 HP tractors, of big logs or complete dead trees so heavy that I could lift .. but not curl. The grapple jaws held the load just fine. If not .. I'd have to cut them into shorter lengths.

Good afternoon. It was 75° and sunny first thing this morning but, soon changed to dark skies and another 1" of rain this morning for total of 4" over two days. Looks like more rain tomorrow.

I was stuck in the shop most of the morning so I got back to working on one of my air compressors. Seems to be going around .. huh Kyle? The compressor would pump up to the 150 psi cutoff, shut down, and bleed air continuously from the compressor unloader valve .. that should just vent for a second or two to take pressure off the top of the piston. While looking into a replacement unloader valve I saw a couple of sites that suggested this symptom was actually from the tank check valve.

I disconnected the piping from compressor and from the unloader valve and shot some Fluid Film into the check valve and the reconnected the piping. I came back to it, about 30 minutes later and restarted the compressor. It pumped up to 150 psi, cut off, the unloader vented for about a long second and then reset. I hooked up my Radiator Genie and vented air until the compressor kicked on again and it all worked correctly. I'm not sure if the Fluid film in the check valve resolved the problem or if some of the FF got pushed up the line to the unloader .. but it works.

Have any of y'all looked at the Kardia Mobile EKG monitor? $89.

KardiaMobile EKG Monitor - Instant EKG on Your Phone | AliveCor – AliveCor, Inc.

Amazon.com: AliveCor KardiaMobile Personal EKG | FDA-Cleared | Detects AFib: Health & Personal Care

I had a short bout of PCV's, back in 2016, that showed up during my annual physical. I had no symptoms but .. went up and spent a day at the Austin Heart Hospital for an ablation procedure. My heart Doc suggested a Kardia monitor after I had the procedure. I check my BP (Omron 10 monitor) first thing every morning and do the EKG with the Kardia. All normal for over four years now.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Prayers to all.

I'm not 65 yet, nor do I have an I-phone. I guess they are going after the hoighty toighty old folks. :)

Rick, It looks like the unloader valve on my Speedaire is maybe a schrader valve. I could see where it could get a speck of something on it and not want to seal 100%.

I have some nice 1/2" airhose that a guy at work gave me when his project ended. Not sure I have the quick disconnects I need, but I want to come out of the air tank and put a T. One side would be the standard 3/8" couplers, the other side would have a valve and a 1/2" coupler for my impacts, or for trying to get large tractor tires to bead up.

At work, both compressors are plumbed with timers to drain the bottom of the tank every 5 minutes or so for a few seconds. At home, the speedaire's drain is an inch or 2 off the ground, with not much room for a hand. I might mount an old airgun to a short hose and tie it off up higher to make it easier to drain.
