Anybody thoughts/ideas on feasibility of sound dampening aftermarket cab.

Also, you may find ways to reduce sounds from flat surfaces if you put pressure on certain spots. I once installed a cross bar and shimmed the space with think industrial foam padding and it helped immensely. The trick is understanding resonance frequency and keeping them apart.

I've used Grace Ice an water barrier on the inside the cab of a couple of pickup trucks, the walls, the floor and ceiling if you can. Stick it to everyplace that is bare metal, it's amazing how much it dampens the sound. Vibration = sound
If your not familiar with the product it's a bituminous urethane sheet. You could probably find some scraps on market place from a contractor or homeowner that has some left over.
There are other brands but this stuff sticks like nobody's business!

The adhesion on that Grace water shield is no joke. If it touches itself you might as well cut the piece out because you will never get it apart. That dynomat stuff looks like a pretty nice product. Pricey but I guess I am guessing it is probably top of the line.

A bit of a different thought. Not real high on the price side either.
Buy dime thick rubber floor mats from your preferred outlet and using a paper or cardboard pattern, cut pieces to fit as tight as possible on your floor pan of your cab. At worse, your feet will thank you if you spend long hours with your feet on the bare metal.

If the cab has safety glass, it should already be dampening sound. I suggest you ignore the "home remedy" suggestions and use a product designed to dampen sound. It IS ROCKET SCIENCE if you want the best results. It's not cheap or your cab would have come with sound dampening already. If you want the best results, use the best products. Otherwise, stuff your cab with cotton balls. That should help.

You can imagine the problem in a big delivery van with their large expanses of sheetmetal.
One member over there who seemed knowledgeable was a distributor for matting, maybe by 3M. Later I noticed the same guy (probably) here on TBN, using his product under the hood of his tractor with reported success.
On a related note, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a smartphone app sound analyzer to tell you what frequencies are the worst in your cab.

There is, had one on my phone til I ran out of storage due to all the bloatware crap they won't let you delete - mine's Android, try searching for spectrum analyzer... Steve

My 3M Bluetooth muffs work great on my open station equipment. I set the volume on my phone about 3/4 and start up Pandora.
Can still hear the equipment okay but not at the annoying level.
