I am sure there is some illicit activities that I don't know about. I do know our sheriff's dept is very well run, and they keep a tight ship in this county. My moonshine buddies are over in Franklin Co, and they keep a real low profile there, only selling outside their county.

So selling illegal goods outside your county is better than selling illegal goods inside your county?

Rocky Mount, in Franklin county has a population of around 5k. Roanoke, a little ways north has a population of 100k. If you read the police reports for each town, who do you think will have a higher crime rate?

Point being it all comes down to population density (or how LE reports that crime rate).

The irony is some time ago I always drove by that town (Rocky Mount) going up to visit my dad, and I didn't know the town existed:laughing:

One of my son's lives in Rocky Mount. It is a really nice area and town.
