It's interesting that the lawsuit calls for the dissolution of the NRA. I strongly suspect that the motivation for the lawsuit has nothing to do with any concern for the NRA members' hard-earned money. The goal is to weaken or eliminate the NRA, as part of an overall anti-gun agenda.

Another minor point, the NRA is not a charity.

The NRA Foundation is a charity, based in DC and also subject of action there.

Most labor unions are 501(c)(5) non-profits. If a non-profit can be dissolved because it's leaders misused funds for their own benefit, it would equally apply to labor unions. Labor union leaders have regularly been sent to prison for misuse of funds, but taking the step of actually dissolving the organization would essentially destroy the labor union and a replacement would have to start up from zero.

Im not anti union, but maybe we should start over from scratch from time to time. Seems like we lose sight of why these organizations were formed and it becomes a personal enrichment scheme.

Remember, this is also the person who is trying to force financial institutions to quit dealing with the NRA and ANY manufacturers who produce firearms and ammunition. Just a back-door way to institute gun control. "Public" officials taking it upon themselves to coerce legitimate companies this way should be tried for malfeasance of duty and thrown in jail, in my opinion.

Wayne Lapierre there for 39 years? NRA voters are complicit in diversion of NRA funds to Lapierre.

I voted against Lapierre in every NRA election on principal at least the last 30 years,

NRA member for 45 years.

You've never voted against LaPierre because membership doesn't vote on officers, only Board members, and they are powerless to remove WLP... you can be AGAINST WLP, I am, but you don't get a vote about his employment. (Life member, disgusted with WLP and the entire NRA-ILA wing.)
