I bought my L5740 without 3 point hardware. I have since sourced everything, minus the top link. I've decided to go with a hydraulic top link, seeing as I have 2 rear remotes. That said, I have no idea what the original top link length is, and if that same measurement is preferred for a hydraulic link (I'd assume it is). Can anyone help me out with fully collapsed and extended measurements of their factory top link, or measurements of the hydraulic top link that you're using? I'll be using it for general 3 point tractor work, nothing out of the ordinary. I would 100% buy from FitRite, but I need it now, I simply don't have the luxury of waiting. Thanks in advance.

I don't remember the short length but the long on mine is 31". I got it from ag supply. I absolutely love it.

Fit Rite here. If you purchased from me, I would provide-recommend a cat 1-2 unit with a 2 1/2" dia cylinder with a 1 1/2" dia rod having a working length of 23 1/4"- 35 1/4".

Here is an off the shelf unit that is probably about as close as you will find. You will need to narrow the tractor end and use a 1"-3/4" reducer bushing. If you are using cat 1 implements, the rod end will need to be modified also.

I don't see any cat 1 links that would be close enough IMO. :(

Good luck.

FitRite is worth the wait, if you can wait.

Yes - I would definitely wait for FitRite. However, it sounds like Brian has one already assembled that could be shipped to you immediately.

Fit Rite is what I would call Plug-N-Play. Takes 15 minuets or less to remove the old - instal the new. Definitely a much heavier unit than your OEM top link.

Unfortunately nothing ready to ship, busier than ever. Simply never have time to build up any units to have on hand.

Just giving the specs for him to compare to get something close for an off the shelf unit. ;)

Thanks for the info and link Brian. You are a stand up guy! I'll get in line for a side link from you as soon as I get the other million projects completed. I'm sure I'll want to replace the agristore top link with yours once I see the fit and finish. You should hire a helper, if you can find someone worthwhile!
