Should be suits against BLM and Antifa. Supposedly BLM has not helped a single black person other than the ones working for them. They're supposedly giving millions of $ to all kinds of organizations, sorta like money laundering.

I'm a member solely because they're the only game in town. I don't like their fear mongering or the incessant phone calls, emails, and junk mail asking for more money. Yet this is obviously yet another attempt to shut them down. What politicians don't understand is that "The NRA" doesn't vote; it's the people making up the organization who do.

NOT the only game in town.
Take a look at the Second Amendment Foundation.
They file more law suit and win more cases than anyone.

The NRA is the primary group that the anti-gun crowd loves to hate. They must be doing something right.

But it is a non-profit organization so the fact that it may not be a charity is a fine point indeed.

I have sat on the board of a nonprofit. It is illegal for any compensation accrue to any member of the Board of Directors. Employee salaries are public record. If these allegations are true, it's hard to see how the NRA can survive. Perhaps if LaPierre, North, et. al. throw themselves on their swords. It's going to be a hard sell that they got away with $64 million and nobody noticed.

Whether or not there is political motivation at the root, I think the leadership problems are real and some folks are in serious hot water.

I had been with the NRA since I was a kid when I took my hunter safety course. They always were important to me, but as I got older I started seeing a side of them I did not like. Some of the politics and language crossed the line in my opinion. The final straw was when they sent me mailers (asking for money) that were laced with paranoid language and it seemed like all they were trying to do was stoke fear and get dollars. That's when I had enough. I think they lost sight of the cause and got too wrapped up in themselves. Pity, because the education/training folks still do a lot of good work promoting firearms safety.

Human nature eventually corrupts most people if left to their own integrity long enough.

Any rich organization whose leadership has been there decades is probably corrupt in some manner. It's called an "Empire".

Take a close look at any person or organization and there will be sides you don't like. Like in elections, you have to pick the lesser of the Evils.

It's often that people aren't even corrupt, just they get fed up with the BS of almost any government or organization, and just look after themselves.

Pretty sad that so many here seem so willing to accept this level of corruption as normal without even questioning whether it exists or not. Just to be clear, I suspect that the claims are fact based and I hope the AGs action is successful.

It's nothing new...been going on since humans first started trading with each other...hard to find any entity in any sector that is 100% transparent...and when peeps decide to hide something they are going to find and use ways...

One thing about finger pointer's though...they often point to others hoping to turn eyes away from themselves...

There is likely as much corruption in government as there is in the private sector...but just look at the states and their electorates who continually keep in office those that have the most power and have the easiest ways of hiding things...continually rotating the guards with new heads is the key to limiting corruption regardless of the sector...!
