It seems like a good idea to me.

As someone that performs federally-funded research on airborne transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, I have some pretty strong thoughts on this. But, to avoid delving into the political side of things, I will refrain from comment.

I am, however, grabbing a bowl of popcorn to enjoy the show.

Any wagers on how many comments before the thread gets shut down?

too many people in the world?. you'd like a severe reduction of them by dying from a preventable disease?. this is people's lives put at risk for no SANE reason!.. yeah, there are some people arrested for removing their masks, or just not wearing one, and coughing in peoples faces, those are the mentally ill people!.. why would a sane person try to spread the virus??...

IMO there is a much more serious tort constantly going on than not wearing a mask in public places...and that is just being in public places if a person has been exposed whether they have symptoms or not and whether they have gone at least 14 days after testing negative after being exposed...
...Most peeps would know if they have been exposed to anyone testing positive even with no symptoms...

Masks are not the answer...keeping infected (symptoms or not) peeps out of the public is the way to stop the spread...

people that have knowingly been exposed and go out in the public should be charged...there should be a law...

I tidbit from the article:
The sheriff argued that working mask-free hasn’t led to a spike of infections in his 900-person department. “Since the beginning of this pandemic the operation of this office has not changed and no wearing of masks has been put in place,” he said.
But as the Star-Banner reported, the local jail has seen a serious spike, with at least 200 inmates testing positive, along with 36 jail employees, including officers. A nurse at the jail has also died of covid-19.

From day one, "they" said, EVERYONE" would get this. Just try and slow down the spread to get healthcare up to speed. 99 point something recovery rate, with most dying that have preexisting conditions.

Now, this push, that no one is suppposed to contract it, like it's the plague. I don't get it.

LoL...Too many "they s" out there...

...It's not that much more contagious than many strains of influenza...see the numbers...not everyone gets the flu...!

Blue Collar Logic, on Youtube did a thing on this. I personally believe him. Fudged numbers!

There seems to be a lot of discussion about masks and whether you wear them to protect youself or others. I only heard yesterday, that some of the more elaborate and expensive masks that allow you to exhale easily, through a vent, I guess, do not protect others. Hmmm. Interesting!
