FX235 Hydraulics and Manual

Hi, A new member here from Australia after some info on Yanmar.

They are a grey import here, and not very common, however I see they are pretty common in the US, so hope someone can help.
We purchased an old but pretty tidy FX235 with power shift Auto, bucket and slasher a couple of years ago to help build our retirement special. (A one bedroom home with a 14 car garage on 10 acres of Australian Bush).

Its been a good tractor, (if a more than a bit unstable), but just blew an hydraulic line and I need advice on the oil to use. We can get absolutely no info from anyone in Aus on what oils the Yanmar use for the Auto/hydraulics, (which I assume are a combined system).

I saw some comment on the site about Dexron ATF, but was not sure they were talking about the FX235. Can any one give me more advice please.

Also, if anyone has a manual for one of these, I would love to get a copy as I have had no luck in finding one, other than a couple of very very suspect looking sites that ask you to click on the big blue button to download what you want, but they just scream "dodgy as, mate"

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have no knowledge related to an of the FX models. But a quick internet search produced this find.

While I understand TractorErnie has gotten out of the tractor business, he has bern and continues to be a wealth of information about Yanmar tractors. Personally, I will take any information he provides to be among the best you will find anywhere on Yanmar tractors!

Thanks for the prompt reply much appreciated. I am assuming from the designation MO you are in Missouri, and from looking at a temp chart for various cities in the state, it appears that it has quite diverse range of climates across the state ?

I am in Central Victoria in Australia, and contrary to popular opinion that Aus is just Desert or :"Crocodile Dundee style sub tropical", down in Central Victoria we get temperature ranges that match the lowest in your state, to the highest in your state, and get snow on the ground a couple of times a year, (although snow plows are only ever seen on the approach roads to the ski fields in the mountains), and yes, I do have wild kangaroos living on my property. Late in the afternoons there are quite often up to a dozen, out from the tree line, catching the mid winter sun on the grassy bank, 10 meters from the house.

Although all Aus states have very "green" legislation restricting tree felling, and my 10 acres was heavily tree'd, as the BAL Number (Bushfire Attack level) for my property was the 2nd highest under which you are still allowed to build, (with everything external to be non combustible), it did mean I was allowed to drop the tress in a 20m radius around the house and shed, giving the Roo's some open pasture to sun themselves in.
