Wears sandals, or flip flops (when not at the beach or pool)?

OMG! I just realized I知 prejudice!

I have no problem with a person痴 race, sexual orientation, religion, choice of tractor, etc..., but I have a hard time respecting a man in public wearing flip flops.

Maybe it痴 because I live in a northern climate?
The worst is when I see videos of people mowing, or running tractors and chainsaws with them on. I feel like those old geezers who yell at minorities to 菟ull your pants up and wear a belt!

Is this wrong?
Should I enroll in a sensitivity class?

Actually I don't. One of the most irritating things I can think of is listening to someone in flip flops walking and hearing the flap, flap, flap crap.

A friend of mine who lives in the Yukon who is a Podiatric Physician
recently told me some of the women there have some of the roughest looking feet and ankles he has ever administered to ! I kept telling him it really didnt concern me but he insisted on sending me this pic . Anyway timely thread here is the pic before I delete it .

Ha, ha. That picture must of been taken in spring after a long winter. Before going into town for supplies, razors, and such.

We call them thongs and I don't wear them as I find them uncomfortable and they fall off as well as chafe the skin between your toes, it's also illegal to drive in them (in Victoria), the heavier duty ones are known as double pluggers as they have two plugs holding the straps in, useless when fishing as you step along and leave them behind and can never find them again, I wear sandals even on the tractor depending upon what I am doing.
Still looking for the steel capped sandals.

Funny! I have almost put my Duramax though the back of my concrete walled shed, wearing some rather manly boots that got jammed in the pedals. Just guessing that it would not have happened in flip flops.

I suppose you're right; I never thought of it like that. My feet have always been sensitive, and being a rather clumsy individual, I have always managed to see that they provided me as much pain and discomfort as I could handle. Flip flops were just never worth the effort, considering I couldn't keep them on my feet any way.

Wow, I find it very unusual that grown-up men with tractors are experimenting wearing "thongs" on their feet and complaining that their toes hurt.

Now if you ask a grown-up woman to wear a "thong" (please) they just might only complain of a tight wedgeeeeeee... :rotfl:
