This is actually, a moot point. See details of Post #516 above. WHO backtracked, admitted they were wrong, and subsequent studies have shown asymptomatic transmission does occur.

99.7 percent of people that get the flu don't die from it... That's something' I've heard some describe having the flu as "painful".

I can't say, NO ONE in my area has had the flu or died of it... Where would I be without the news?

I still see it as a particularly agressive flu, but I don't even know if that is true? Those predisposed, could become infected easier than a normal flu, and could well die. That's kind of my understanding of it. Still don't know one person who had it, but who really knows that? Maybe I had it last year? And no one that I know, has died from it, nor anyone that directly knows someone that died of it. Some friend of a friend of a friend kind of stories.

YES, there are terrible nursing home stories, but not much worse than the normal seasonal flu ravaging such institutions.
