Hydraulic Oil Filter

   / Hydraulic Oil Filter #11
When I bought hydraulic filters for the M59 at the Kubota dealer I could choose either with magnet or not. Got the ones with the magnet at ~25% more $. $83 each and takes two. HST $46. Liked the permanent cleanable magnet in the M5030 hydraulic filter.

There are filter manufacturers that make filters as good and maybe better than OEM. Finding them if not spec by the OE is the problem. Always safe with the manufacturers filters and fluids.

I've always used Kubota filters and plan to continue. Was just curious regarding the use of Wix filters and thanks for the responses.

This particular Wix hydraulic filter, WL10043, is used on Bobcat equipment.

Would be interesting to see who makes the Kubota filters? I'm sure they are made by a big filter manufacturer.

Regards

Various manufacturers actually but MADE TO KUBOTA SPECIFICATIONS. Whether the others Wix, Fram, etc are, is conjecture.

I've never seen the level of quality in aftermarket filters that I've seen with the Kubota filters. All of the hydraulic filters come with plastic sealing the business end. The weight suggests that the cans are thick steel. Verified when removed with the plier style oil filter wrenches, they don't dent easily. That is worth something to me.

... and in reality only incrementally more expensive. I buy mine from my local Kubota dealer versus online. He needs to stay in business as well.
