I have about 10 hours on my 400hr service over probably 3 weeks time, so obviously haven't been working the tractor too hard recently, but Sunday I went to plow my food plot and before I left noticed the front axle was out of the sight glass, haven't been able to see a wet spot to indicate the leak, has anyone had the axle lose oil? Where are the common points of failure? It's not losing it overly fast, I filled it and worked it a few hours and it's still fine, and I looked at it about 5 hours after the service and it was still in range in the sight glass so it took a few weeks to get down there and mostly sitting not working.

Did you keep close track on the amount you added on the refill. My white version of that series had a hard time getting all the fluid back in that I took out. I had to let it settle for a couple days and then top it off again.

I did not I was kinda in a hurry to get my work done, the ball on the sight glass was all the way down, like it was completely empty though I'm sure it was not as it did not take as much as it would had I drained and refilled.

It does seem to take a little while to drain all the way into the axle, it seems it took maybe 4 quarts, filled my funnel twice and then most of another one and it's a 1.5qt funnel

My dk45 takes 1.98 gallons in front axle. 7.5 L. I end up draining mine using compressed air thru filter. Hard to get it all out.

The site glass does not indicate empty. When the axle is at least 1/2 full my site glass shows empty. It only indicates safe operating range is my thought.

Same here. Just add and keep an eye on levels going forward. You may be fine.
